Brooklyn - AG Gallery is pleased to present "the brief summer", a solo exhibition of Shawn Creeden in New York. The exhibition will be comprised of selected drawings from Creeden's past series and a complete set of his latest series. In addition to the drawings, there will be a small store installation that showcases different kind of products Creeden creates; prints, books, pins, T-shirts and so on.

Creeden draws many kinds of animals, especially the sea animals; walrus, whales, penguins, birds, gull, and so on. It shows a warm and peaceful moment on one hand and shows severe environment these animals are dealing with on the other hand. His simple line drawing has its power to visualize an intensive life in the nature. His interest in the nature and animals came from his childhood in Rhode Island.

Shawn Creeden was born in 1981 in Newport, Rhode Island and attained BFA in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003. He has had solo shows in San Francisco, CA, New Bedford, MA, Richmond, VA, Rochester, NY and many other group shows throughout the states.

"the brief summer" will be on view at AG Gallery through October 21st, 2007.
The gallery is located at 103 North 3rd St. (between Berry and Wythe Ave.) Hours: Sun. 12-8pm Mon.-Sat. 12-10pm
